The Study of Fourth-generation Port Development Model Based on Fourth Party Logistics

Through concept studies of fourth party logistics and the fourth-generation port, the thesis analyses the intrinsic link between the two concepts, then advances the fourth-generation port development model based on fourth party logistics. It is focused on that how the concept of fourth party logistics can be introduced into the process of port development, so as to the port can take advantage of the fourth party logistics＂ management ascendency in building and optimizing the supply chain to project the port development on the overall perspective, to implement the information interconnection and interaction of the upstream and downstream logistics enterprises, to form a stable logistics alliance, to enhance port management level and service quality, and strengthen the capacity of port economy radiation by the supply chain closely linked economic hinterland, and ultimately to form a concerted effort to enable the port enters the fourth-generation development stage from the third generation.
