外资北上:珠三角与长三角吸引FDI比较

从2001年开始,长三角吸引的外资FDI数量超过了珠三角。北上的外资主要是新增的外资,港澳台资的区域结构没有明显的变化。原因是,珠三角毗邻港澳的地理优势吸引了港澳资本,长三角广阔的市场容量对新增外资产生了吸引力。

The Northward Movement of Foreign Capitals:The Comparison of Zhujiang Delta and Yangtze Delta Areas in Attracting FDI

With the help of empirical analysis, the article explores a tale: foreign direct investment (FDI) is transferring from Zhujiang Delta area to Yangtze Delta area, for since 2001, the amount of FDI to the latter has exceeded that of the former. A further analysis proves that most of the foreign capitals moving northward is newly added ones while the investing areas of the capital from Taiwan, Hongkong and Macao have remained unchanged. The reason for such phenomenon is that the geographic vicinity to Hongkong and Macao has helped Zhujiang Delta area to attract capitals from these areas but the enormous market absorption capacity is appealing to the newly added foreign capitals.
