Hierarchical Food waste Disposal System in the United States

The United States has structured the hierarchical food waste disposal system, which, in order of priority, is separated into six classes, i.e., source reduction, food donation, feeding animals, industrial uses, composting, incineration or landfill. Analysis shows that this kind of hierarchical disposal system has four distinguishing features, including emphasizing reduction and recycle instead of classiifcation-landifll, establishing perfect public participation system, beneiftting from science and technology, strict laws and regulations.
