关爱的力量 无障碍满足残疾人参会需求

人生而自由,在尊严和权利上一律平等。我们被赋予了理性和良知,应该以亲情的精神互相帮助。《世界人权宣言》问世60年之后,联合国残疾人权利法公约于2008年5月正式生效。公约明确了残疾人应与普通公民平等享有合法权益和参与社交、政治及经济生活的权利。然而,调查表明,约10亿多的残障人士每天都要忍受自然或人为障碍带来的不便。对此,我们的会议行业应该在总结该方面不足的同时,担当起无障碍服务的领跑者。我们是如何做的呢?

“All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.”Sixty years after the Universal Declaration of Human Rights,the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities entered into force(May 2008),allowing millions of people around the world with disabilities to enjoy,under law,the same rights and opportunities as every other citizen.Accessibility is defined by the degree to which a product,device,service or environment is available to as many people as possible.With estimations suggesting more than 1 billion disabled people around the world have to deal daily with the barriers of the natural and man-made world,it seems a good time to ask,“Just how well is the meeting industry doing with this?”
