摘    要:词汇学习是外语学习过程中的一个至关重要的环节。从理论上讲,词汇量越大,语言表达能力就越强。但部分学习者对绝大多数词汇仅限于辨认式掌握,对需要复用式掌握的核心词汇的外延、内涵、搭配、惯用法等却知其一而不知其二,其语言输出往往错误百出。究其原因,除了学习方法、学习策略方面的问题外,母语的负面影响也起了很大的作用。本文主要探讨母语在英语词汇学习中的负迁移效应,并就如何克服或减少这种负面影响略述已见。

Abstract:Vocabulary learning is one of the most important processes in foreign language acquisition. Theoretically a larger vocabulary entails a stronger power of expression. But for some learners, the learning of vocabulary is only limited to recognizing receptive words, with a poor command of the denotation, connotation, collocations and idiomatic usages of many productive words. As a result, their language output is marked with mistakes of various kinds. The causes of the problem, aside from faulty study methods and learning strategies, have much to do with the first language interference. This paper is concerned with an analysis of the negative effect of the first language transfer in the acquisition of English vocabulary, with tentative suggestions offered as how to overcome it.
