Multi-media Technology and the New Model of English Education

There are many drawbacks inherent in the traditional model of English education. A new model should be set up to push forward the transformation of English education. This article discusses the advantages of English education in a multi-media setting, arguing that multi-media technology can play a favorable role in the establishment of a new model of English education. In addition, this article points out some issues that English teachers should pay attention to when they are teaching English in a multi-media setting, reminding that English teachers and students should change their concepts and roles to ensure the actualization of the new model of English education.
