在评析前人研究的基础上,用新制度经济学的研究方法分析城市、城市化问题,重新定义了城市和城市化的概念,提出了城市是一种制度,城市化是一种制度变迁的理念,并阐释了城市化过程中存在的路径依赖,试图为用新制度经济学研究城市和城市化问题提供一个理论基础.

New explanations to cities and urbanization

This thesis is to establish a general analysis framework based on the researching method of New Institution Economics.In the thesis,the relevant studies are reviewed,the definitions of city and urbanization redefined.And then the thesis puts forward that city is a kind of institution and urbanization is a kind of institutional changes.It analyzes the root of city existing,the mechanism of the urbanization changing,problems of urbanization and the path dependence during the process of urbanization,trying to provide a theoretical basis for developing research of city and urbanization with New Institution Economics.
