摘    要:20世纪50年代国民党在台湾重建党化教育,自由知识分子通过《自由中国》半月刊,对党化教育的内容和党化教育组织展开了全面的揭露和抨击,并推动了文教公共空间理念的建构。虽然这一过程中《自由中国》也显示出一些认识局限,而且结果亦没有扭转国民党的教育政策,但是这种建基于人格力量的斗争,为几十年后台湾地区教育逐步迈向独立发展播下了火种。

Abstract:In 1950s, the Nationalist Party re-established its party-monopolized education in Taiwan. Liberal intellectuals, through their bi-monthly Liberal China, launched an overall and illuminating attack on the content and organization of the party-monopolized education, and strove for the recognition of public space in culture and education. Although Liberal China demonstrated some limitations in its views, and what it did failed to avert the education policy of the Nationalist Party, the struggle it had started, which drew its strength from sheer personality, had paved the way for future development that finally led to the independence of education in Taiwan dozens of years later.
