Abstract: | This essay aims to analyze the effectiveness of reflective practice in the teaching and learning of English and to examine the practicality of this approach in the current classroom. Firsdy, some problems of traditional teaching were examined, and limitations of reflective practice in teaching were presented when stating its conductive advantages, Then the paper stated the effectiveness of reflective practice in language classes, such as active reaction from students and the ability of problem solving, and discussed the practicality between reflective teaching and learning through adopting reflective practice. Reflective practice, an important approach in improving the efficiency of English teaching as a foreign language and making students develop their understanding and critical thinking skills, will be well-developed in the process of teaching and learning. |
