Equilibrium Analysis of Infinitely Repeated Gournot Model

Abstract Gournot Model is a classical economic game model,which can be used to guide the important decision-making in economic activities.Repeated games are important in improving economic efficiency.This paper combines Gournot model and the theory of repeated games,taking the Gournot game between two manufacturers whose production are continuous for example,discusses the equilibrium analysis of Cournot Model,including the equilibrium analysis of general Gournot Model and the equilibrium analysis of Gournot Model with constraints.On the basis,it analyzes the equilibrium solution of infinitely repeated Gournot model,to search the ways of increasing the level of manufacturers cooperate and achieving equilibrium with high efficiency.
