On the Prosperity, Decline and Enlightenments of Modern Hunan Tung Oil Trade

The modern tung oil trade in Hunan province obtained the unprecedented development because of the international market's increasing demand and government's support.But under the oppression of feudalism,imperialism and bureaucratic capitalism,the tung oil trade declined from prosperity to deterioration.Through analysing the reasons of its prosperity and decline,the paper presents some enlightenments such as transforming and displaying the government's function,and attitudes toward commerce and merchants,etc.
