The Impact and Path of Trade Liberalization on Food Consumption Inequality in China:A Test of Multiple Mediating Effects Model

With the development of economy and the continuous improvement of people’s living standards,China’s per capital food consumption is also increasing,but the problem of food consumption inequality is still prominent.Based on the perspective of trade liberalization,this paper introduces two intermediary variables of price and income,uses the survey data of China’s household income project and other relevant data,analyzes the impact of trade liberalization on China’s food consumption inequality theoretically and empirically through a multiple mediating effects model.It is found that trade liberalization can not only indirectly and significantly inhibit China’s food consumption inequality by increasing China’s household income level and lowering prices,but also directly inhibit China’s food consumption inequality.
