Discussion on problems in municipal wastewater treatment engineering design

Problems dealing with the wastewater treatment plant design are discussed and presented systematically in this paper. Discussions concentrated primarily on the fundamental condition and influencing factors of WWTP design, such as the ingredient and flow of raw wastewater and effluent, sewer systems and planned age. The common used treatment processes are compared and their special feature and suitable application are indicated. Finally some problems appeared in design are discussed.
