印度维持统一的原因探析

南亚地区以多民族、多宗教、多语言而著称,正是由于这个原因南亚地区分裂成印度和巴基斯坦两个国家。独立后的巴基斯坦也分裂成孟加拉和巴基斯坦两个部分。然而,民族、宗教、语言比它们更复杂的印度在独立后却没有发生分裂。印巴分治的深刻教训、独特的具有中央集权性质的联邦制,恰当地处理了土邦、语言和宗教问题等都是印度得以维持统一的重要原因。

South Asia was well-known for its religious ethnic and linguistic multiplicity,because of which South Asia divided into two countries.Also because of the multiplicity,Pakistan,after independence,divided into two countries,India did not divide even though its multiplicity is greater.Lessons from the Division,particular political system,proper policies about ethnics language religion,and no substantial support to the seperatist movements are some important reasons.
