Optimization of Sorbic Acid Determination in Milk by High Performance Liquid Chromatography

Abstract:Objective: To study the effects of precipitant, detection wavelength and operation process on milk recovery, and to find the optimal conditions for process detection. Methods: The pretreatment and instr μmental analysis steps of GB 5009.28—2016 were combed and studied, and the process optimization parameters were determined by single factor experiment. Results: The recovery rate of 2% lead acetate was higher than that of potassi μm ferrocyanide and zinc acetate. There was no significant difference in the recovery rate of sorbic acid in milk at 230 nm and 245 nm. The operation steps were optimized to make the pretreatment more simple and easy to operate. The recovery rate was slightly improved, but the increase was not large. Conclusion: Using 2% lead acetate as precipitant and optimizing the analysis steps, the detection accuracy of sorbic acid in milk can be improved to 98%, and the pretreatment operation is simple.
