A Study of the Goal and Mode of Cultivating Undergraduates Majoring in Teaching Chinese as Second Language

The program of teaching Chinese as a foreign language is one of distinctive features, set up in line with the frequent international exchanges and the strategy of popularizing Chinese in the world. Specially, it aims to train persons qualified to teach Chinese as a foreign language by using bilingual languages, and professionals undertaking exchanges between Chinese and foreign cultures. The training model of this program is to cultivate bilingual and bicultural inter-disciplinary talents, effectively improving the students’ creativities and practical abilities as well as developing their humanistic qualities and scientific literacy.
