On the Legitimacy Basis of CPC's Ruling during the Mao Zedong Era

This paper analyzes the legitimacy basis of the CPC’s ruling during the Mao Zedong Era through comprehending the connotation and basis of legitimacy.It holds that the performance legitimacy should not be simply considered as the same to the economic performance legitimacy,the ideology should not be taken as a sole basis for CPC’s ruling during the Mao Era,and the basis of the political legitimacy should be considered as an integrated system,which cannot be simplified and is not a mechanical movement from one space-time to another.
