Plant-level bargaining in France

Institutionalised bargaining and formal collective agreements at plant level are a rarity in France. However, research shows that some form of unofficial bargaining does take place. Edward Slack illustrates this phenomenon using evidence obtained from a chemical plant and an industrialised dairy in 1974.
