Economy Hotel Facing Bottlenecks
Abstract:As the tourist season comes,the economy hotels are caught up in brand crisis.According to sources,some hotel tenders use the same towels with which they have previously cleaned the closestools to clean the teacups.Popular hotels such as Home Inn,Hanting Inns &Hotels and 7 Days Inn are also involved in scandals.As the reformer and developer of economy hotels,Home Inn has saved lots of money for the consumers while providing quality service.Currently,Home Inn,7 Days Inn and Hanting Inns&Hotels are the three major players in the market.However,the competition does not lead to upgrading of service.In fact,the towel scandal is far more than mere sanitation problem,but reflects the dilemma economy hotels are faced with as they reach certain development stage.On the one hand,the economy hotels feel difficulty in expansion by their own strength;on the other hand,they are overcome by the fear that they may be surpassed by the rivals if they slow down the pace.As a result,the franchise stores are considered as a good way for expansion for numerous hotels.In the meantime,there have been more and more management problems coming out.Thus,for the economy hotels,it may be important to slow down the development,draw lessons from the international counterparts and pay more attention to the brand building.
