On the construction of ecological city and its design target

Taking the construction of ecological city as i ts subject,this paper in detail studies the ecological city construction system and its coordination with the surroundings The paper also discusses design for ecological city and its target system in terms of sustainable development .The a uthor argues that the theoretical field and the practitioners in city design pra ctice should consider the containing capability of city environment in the theo ry of city ecological control,the core and essence of the theoretical study in future ecological city system.By an contrastive analysis of the ecological situa tions in some cities such as Guangzhou ,the paper illustrates what is still want ed in constructing ecological city and therefore presents some suggestions of ad justing the target.Finally ,the paper brings forth some fresh views on setting u p the target system of ecological city.
