Population growth and food supply policy in Nigeria

The strategies of food production and supply in Nigeria are examined in the context of rapid population growth. The author first summarizes recent demographic trends and their relationship to problems in the supply of food. Current and projected measures to resolve food supply problems are then reviewed, and some alternative measures are suggested.
