摘    要:基于规模经济假设,一种流行观点认为,组建大型流通企业集团即是应对国际流通业巨头"蚕食"中国市场的有效药方,一定规模的流通企业集团即可与抢先实施成本领先战略的世界流通巨头一比高低。这一观点并不现实,流通企业能否实现规模经济依赖于其在规模扩张中凝聚的核心竞争力,中国流通企业规模化的可行路径是,在规模化过程中形成一定的核心竞争力。

Abstract:Based on the hypothesis of scale economy,a popular belief is that the formation of large circulating enterprise is an effective countermeasure to face the nibbling of China's market by international circulating giants.The circulating enterprises with some scale can compete with international circulating giants which adopts cost leadership strategy.However,this belief is not realistic,for the scaled economy of circulating enterprises depends on the core competence acquired in the process of expansion.The feasible road for the scaled operating of circulating enterprises in China is to achieve certain core competence during the formation of scaled operations.
