Economic analysis of railway transportation in logistics cost

This paper affirms the importance of logistics in social economic life; points the prominent status that lowering logistics cost reduces cost of recourses in the transportation chain; specializes the economic comparatively advantage of railway transportation; analyzes the value structure and meanings of railway transportation in economics, calculating of transportation cost, composing and connecting with production etc., concludes that the main paths of reducing railway transportation cost are strengthen scientific management and favorable transport organization; bases on these, this paper put forward economic methods of balancing transportation, reasonable transportation, nonstop transportation, centralizing transportation, over loading and high speed transportation etc..
