World Cities in Post-Recession Era: Impacts,Transformation and New Trends

This paper, by tracing the impact of financial crisis on the world cities and analyzing the feedback of the cities, attempts to explore the developing trends of world cities in the post-recession era, and its main influencing factors. The result shows that the financial crisis has brought impact on the world cites through the field of finance status, service ability, economic structure and social stability. In order to cope with such negative effects, world cities have to make great efforts to improve the city function, diversify of economic structure, low-carbon economy, social security and regional integration. Such new trends show the rebalance of globalization and localization in city perspective.
