Institution: | Stephen Bazen is Lecturer in Economics at the University of Kent at Canterbury. Besides his work on de-industrialisation with Professor Thirlwall, he has also written a book and a number of papers on the economics of minimum wages and the operation of the Wages Council system.;Tony Thirlwall is Professor of Applied Economics at the University of Kent at Canterbury and the author of a number of books and articles on growth and development, and the balance of payments. His work on the concept of balance of payments constrained growth has generated wide interest. He is Lord Kaldor's literary executor and biographer. He and Dr Bazen will shortly publish a book on de-industrialisation (Heinemann, 1989). |
