He is regarded as "Lenovo’s Godfather" and "Father of China’s entrepreneurs".He is one of the few entrepreneurs who are successful in choosing the appropriate successors and designing well-functioning equity incentive mechanism.He was ranked as one of the world’s 25 most in uential business leaders" by The Times Magazine.He is Liu Chuanzhi.Liu was 40 when he started his own business.With his constant e orts,Lenovo Group,which used to be called Legend Group,grew from a small business to an international enterprise group.On February 5,2009,Liu Chuanzhi resumed the position as Chairman of the Board of Directors in Lenovo after leaving the post for more than 4 years.Again,Liu changed the Lenovo landscape.Lenovo reported net pro t of $53 million in the second quarter of 2009 down from su ering huge loss of $ 225 million in the fourth quarter of 2008.Liu hopes to extend the business to nance,energy and the housing industry,and eventually to build a conglomerate that may last more than a century.That’s the reason why he again decided to retire backstage in November 2011.
