中国虐待老人问题现状及原因探析

根据全国妇联、国家统计局实施的"第三期中国妇女社会地位调查",我国家庭内老年人受虐待发生率为13.3%,农村显著高于城市,西部地区显著高于其他地区。精神虐待和疏于照料是老年人遭受的两种最主要虐待类型。社会经济地位、健康以及家庭代际关系状况是老年人遭受虐待的重要风险因素。虐待老人既是家庭代际关系严重失衡的突出表现,也反映了社会保护的不足,应采取多方面的措施,减少和杜绝虐待老人现象的发生。

The Current Situation and Cause of Elder Abuse in China

According to the third wave survey on the social status of women in China in 2010, the prevalence rate of elder abuse in domestic settings was 13.5% . It was higher in rural area than urban area. And it was highest in the west of china. Psychological abuse and care neglect are two main types, which always not be recognized fully. A number of situations appear to put the elderly at special risk of violence. Multi-variable regression analysis showed that social -economic status, health status, inter-generation relation status were important factors. Unbalance of inter-generational relations, lack of social protects and supports were the most important societal factors. Finally, policy implications were put forward.
