Abstract: | Sexism in English language has become a heated topic for linguists since the late 1960s and the early 1970s. However, the gender language study in China is still in its infancy. The author ties to fill the gap. Based on the previous research, this thesis made an attempt to analyses cultural factors of sexism from three facets: religion, history and society. What's more, the paper tried to make a detailed analysis about sexism in English from several perspectives. |
