On the Path Selection for the Reconstruction of Charities' Credibility

Credibility is the lifeline of charities. The occurrence of repetitive negative incidents puts the credibility of charities in danger, but brings opportunities for the reconstruction of their credibility as well. The construction of charities’ credibility is an inevitable choice for modern welfare states. The path for reconstructing charities’ credibility is multi-dimensional, and we need to pay attention to the four constructions in the reconstructing process: charities, the relationship between government and charities, laws and regulations on charities, multi-regulatory system and third-party evaluation. In addition, the construction of transparency is the breakthrough for the reconstruction of charities’ credibility, the enhancement of integrity and charitableness is the internal driving force, and the third-party evaluation and regulatory mechanism is the external driving force.
