Happily Ever After? A Study of Job Satisfaction in Australia

The present paper investigates issues of job satisfaction and gender. In particular, the finding that women are significantly happier in work than their male counterparts is examined. To shed light on this issue, smaller subgroups of the total sample are analysed and more subjective variables (in addition to more traditional objective variables) are incorporated. It is found that differences in reported job satisfaction are more pronounced when looking at individuals with lower levels of education in lower skilled jobs. The determinants of job satisfaction for men and women in this group are significantly different; this was not found to be the case when looking at higher skilled, higher educated individuals. Women in this latter group exhibit similar (i.e. lower) levels of satisfaction to their male counterparts. It is conjectured that this result is due to differences in expectations of work among men and women and also among women themselves.

The Effects of a Booming Export Industry on the Rest of the Economy*

It is argued that the roles of relative factor intensity and of the degree of factor mobility have been neglected in models of booming export industries. This paper shows that, contrary to popular beliefs. the mineral export boom may result in (a) an expansion of all industries, (b) an increase in the profitability of the traditional tradeables sector, and(c) a fall in the relative price of non-tradeables .     

农村信贷配给实证分析

信贷配给是制约我国农村信贷市场建设的重要因素,也阻碍了农村金融环境优化、影响了农村经济的良性发展。通过引入制度因子,量化信贷配给,构建了信贷配给宏观计量模型,对我国农村信贷配给状况进行实证检验,结果证明,利率和制度因子是造成我国农村信贷配给的两大因子。应合理调控利率、推进深化改革、加大三农扶持力度,实现农村经济社会的和谐发展。     

商业银行信用卡业务个人信用评估模型研究

个人信用评估是商业银行信用卡业务一直存在的问题,本文通过信用卡客户信息数据进行实证研究,构建基于C4.5算法的个人信用评估模型,并对信用模型进行了预测和评估,模型有较好的预测效果,可以为信用卡业务的个人信用风险管理提供借鉴。

文章将针对横截面回归空间平稳性的two—stepLM检验方法拓展到空间面板情形,用以对空间面板的虚假回归和面板模型的空间单位根和空间协整进行检验,该检验的突出优点是具有灵活性和稳健性;能够将空间面板模型中单个变量空间单位根检验和整个模型的非平稳性检验统一起来,最后,文章采用two—stepLM法对我国电信服务外溢性的相关计量模型进行了空间平稳性分析。
