Differences in the determinants and targeting of antidumping: China and India compared

Despite both being developing countries, China and India have markedly contrasting patterns in their use and targeting of antidumping (AD) measures. We explore the factors driving AD use by these two countries, considering in turn macroeconomic, strategic and other determinants. We find more regular or systematic features of AD use by China, while India displays a less systematic pattern of AD use. Economic growth, AD club effect and free trade agreement participation are shown to constrain AD use by China. Compared to India, AD use by China is also more sensitive across industries. Furthermore, China targets developed countries more than developing countries, while India is less discriminating with respect to the country type it targets.     

中国老年人失能轨迹的性别、城乡及队列差异

采用2005、2008、2011年的《中国老年健康影响因素跟踪调查》项目,运用组基轨迹模型考察了存活、死亡、失访老年人的失能轨迹以及总体老年人的失能轨迹的性别、城乡、队列差异.存活、死亡、失访老人的失能轨迹存在明显的差异,死亡老人起点更高、发展更迅速;女性老人、城市老人更倾向于走上自理能力不健全的轨迹;越来越多的老年人的自理状况是完善的,但失能的老年人其自理状况较之前恶化.     

Integration and autonomy in Chinese technology-sourcing cross-border M&As: from the perspective of resource similarity and resource complementarity

In this paper, we examine the match between resource relatedness and post-merger integration on technology innovation of acquiring firms to find the rationale behind technology-sourcing cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&As) of Chinese multinational enterprises. Using a sample of 88 Chinese technology-sourcing cross-border M&As, we find that the acquirer will improve technology innovation when greater resource similarity between the acquirer and target firms is matched with a high integration degree and a low target autonomy level. Meanwhile, the acquirer can improve technology innovation when greater resource complementarity is matched with a low level of integration degree in technology-sourcing cross-border M&As. This paper provides the acquiring firms with fresh ideas of how to make the integration decisions of technology-sourcing overseas M&As. We hope to help multinational enterprises to achieve more outstanding technology innovation performance through technology-sourcing overseas M&As in an intense global competitive environment.     

基于VAR-GARCH模型的国内外煤炭价格动态互动关系研究

基于VAR和GARCH模型,使用2011年2月～2016年11月共303个理查德动力煤现货价RB、欧洲动力煤现货价ARA、纽卡斯尔动力煤现货价NEWC指数、波罗的海干散货指数BDI以及中国煤炭价格指数CCPI的周度时间序列数据,对国内外煤价变化关系以及中国煤价自身的波动性进行实证研究.结果表明国内外煤价之间存在双向Granger因果关系,且国内外煤炭价格之间存在较强的动态互动关系,中国煤价具有长记忆性和杠杆效应.     

补偿还是自主:互联网技术嵌入与工作压力作用机制变迁研究

本文基于“中国社会态度与社会发展状况调查”2014年的数据,从奖酬模型、工作要求-控制模型两个工作压力经典模型出发,考察了互联网技术轻度嵌入群体和重度嵌入群体在工作压力作用机制方面的异同.研究结果表明相较于轻度嵌入群体,互联网技术重度嵌入群体具有更高的群体同质性—以受过高等教育的未婚青年为主,更有可能承担高水平的工作压力,且工作压力作用机制具有一定的特点.如传统上具有一定缓解作用的奖酬模型不再显著;在工作要求-控制模型中,本应具有正向作用的团队合作因其带来额外的情感劳动而成为提升压力感的变量,仅有灵活工作时间仍然有利于劳动者工作压力的缓解.这意味着随着互联网技术的深入引入,工作的方式方法和内在机制都在发生变化.     

探析我国产业结构调整的两大制约因素

本轮经济危机将长期以来我国产业结构中存在的一些突出问题充分暴露出来，调结构成了危机后的一致呼声。在影响我国产业结构调整的众多因素中，收入分配结构的失调和自主创新能力的不足是两个主要的方面。前者会通过对国内消费需求的抑制，需求结构的影响及要素价格的扭曲而制约产业结构的调整；后者则会造成核心产业和核心技术的缺失，使产业结构固化在低水平状态，失去升级的动力。     

Informal Caregiving and the Retirement Decision

The probability of providing informal care grows with one's own age. While labor market effects due to caregiving are moderate, they could be concentrated in the years close to retirement. Therefore, I investigate whether care in the previous year leads to retirement in the year after by using German Socio‐Economic Panel data from 2001 to 2009 and discrete‐time hazard models. The effect of care on the retirement decision is indeed much higher than its effect on the labor or working hours of middle‐aged individuals. Women are affected to a larger extent but the retirement decision of men also reacts to their caregiving obligations.     

Dynamic network design for reverse logistics operations under uncertainty

The design of reverse logistics network has attracted growing attention with the stringent pressures from environmental and social requirements. In general, decisions about reverse logistics network configurations are made on a long-term basis and factors influencing such reverse logistics network design may also vary over time. This paper proposes dynamic location and allocation models to cope with such issues. A two-stage stochastic programming model is further developed by which a deterministic model for multiperiod reverse logistics network design can be extended to account for the uncertainties. A solution approach integrating a recently proposed sampling method with a heuristic algorithm is also proposed in this research. A numerical experiment is presented to demonstrate the significance of the developed stochastic model as well as the efficiency of the proposed solution method.
