Two-Sided Bounds for Ruin Probabilities when the Adjustment Coefficient does not Exist

In this paper, we derive two-sided bounds for the ruin probability in the compound Poisson risk model when the adjustment coefficient of the individual claim size distribution does not exist. These bounds also apply directly to the tails of compound geometric distributions. The upper bound is tighter than that of Dickson (1994). The corresponding lower bound, which holds under the same conditions, is tighter than that of De Vylder and Goovaerts (1984). Even when the adjustment coefficient exists, the upper bound is, in some cases, tighter than Lundberg's bound. These bounds are applicable for any positive distribution function with a finite mean. Examples are given and numerical comparisons with asymptotic formulae for the ruin probability are also considered.

福音还是诅咒?——管制政策在服务贸易中的两难

在服务贸易自由化进程中,把"服务贸易自由化"等同于对服务业"解除管制"的观点是错误的,把管制政策看成是服务贸易壁垒的观点也是错误的.政府必须寻求对外降低管制(对外降低服务业进入壁垒)与对内加强管制(规范与完善服务业的市场机制)两者的结合.自由与管制两者在服务贸易中并不冲突.另外,在服务贸易开放过程中,一国政府在对本国服务业进行管制时,应更重视内导向型管制政策对服务贸易所产生的促进效应,这对于服务贸易自由化意义更为重大.

Empirical study on Chinese tourists’ perceived trust and intention to use biometric technology

This paper presents a theoretical model based on the Technology Acceptance Model combined with a perceived trust model. SPSS 23 and Amos 22 were used to analyze Chinese tourists’ responses regarding use of biometric technology in hotels and to assess whether their perception of trust – measured through five potential factors – affected their intention to use it. Chinese tourists traveling in Macau were recruited, and three types of biological identification technology were discussed. A total of 600 questionnaires were sent out, and 583 effective questionnaires were recovered. The results that in addition to perceived ease of use, other factors affected visitors’ perceptions of trust. The degrees of effectiveness, however, differed between the three biological identification technologies. Fingerprint technology was revealed to be the most trusted and accepted biometric technology.

本文针对目前理工科高等学校开设文科高等数学的现状,讨论了面向文科大学生开设高等数学课程的重要性,指出开设文科高等数学是培养全面发展的新世纪人才的需要。并根据文科学生对高等数学认识上的突出问题,指出应该从教和学两个方面克服师生思想上的消极态度,再辅以相应的改革措施,以真正发挥文科高等数学的作用;最后从教学大纲的制订、教材的选取以及教学方法改革等方面提出了几点建议,以利于我校文科数学课程教学的开展。
