将超越函数用其幂级数展开式的前n项和近似代替,将超越方程的求解转化为代数方程的求解问题,避免了很多复杂的数学计算.文章结合二分法基于VisulBasic6.0语言编写了求解代数方程的程序,其求解精确度远远高于用Mathmatica计算软件所计算的结果.

近年来，随着我国国民经济的持续高速发展，我国聚丙烯市场消费量逐年较大幅度上升。为了满足国内对聚丙烯日益增长的需求，聚丙烯业界将投资高度集中在聚丙烯装置建设方面，分别采用独资、合资方式建设聚丙烯装置，国内已掀起新一轮聚丙烯建设高潮。在未来4～5年，我国将有8套世界级规模的聚丙烯装置投产，合计能力达到2．19～2．34Mt／a，聚丙烯装置的高速建设无疑对其原料丙烯的供应带来一定的压力。文章分析了丙烯行业状况，未来丙烯市场可能出现的供不应求趋势以及相应的解决方案。

Optimal harvesting of a spatial renewable resource

In this paper we investigate the optimal harvesting of a renewable natural resource. While in most standard approaches the resource is located at a single point, we allow the resource to be distributed spatially. Consequently, an agent who exploits the resource has to travel from one location to another. For a fixed planning horizon, we investigate the speed and the path of harvesting chosen by the agent. We show that the agent adjusts this speed so as to visit each location only once, even in the absence of travelling cost. Since the agent does not return to any location for a second harvest, it is optimal to fully deplete the resource upon arrival. A similar type of bang–bang solution results when we drop the assumption of a constant harvesting rate: allowing for a variable harvesting rate, the agent chooses to fully exploit the resource either in the last or in the first travelling period. A society interested in conserving some of the resource thus has to take measures to limit the exploitative behaviour of the agent.

Ronald Jones's duality analysis as a foundation for applied general‐equilibrium modeling

Ronald Jones made seminal contributions to general‐equilibrium theory, moving away from an emphasis on the existence of equilibrium to algebraic formulations which enabled us to characterize key relationships between parameters and variables, such as that between tariffs and domestic factor prices and welfare. But the analysis remained limited in value for policy evaluation: the analysis was local, it provided only qualitative results, it was limited to very small models, and strictly interior solutions had to be assumed. The contribution of this paper is largely pedagogic and methodological. I show how the tools and approach pioneered by Jones can be generalized via the use of duality, complementarity and the Karush–Kuhn–Tucker theorem into a global, quantitative analysis of large changes in high‐dimensional models which also allows for regime changes and corner solutions. I then show how the resulting nonlinear complementarity problem directly translates into a numerical model using the General Algebraic Modeling System (GAMS).
