The Coordination Role of Stress Tests in Bank Risk‐Taking

We examine whether stress tests distort banks' risk‐taking decisions. We study a model in which a regulator may choose to rescue banks in the event of concurrent bank failures. Our analysis reveals a novel coordination role of stress tests. Disclosure of stress‐test results informs banks of the failure likelihood of other banks, which can reduce welfare by facilitating banks' coordination in risk‐taking. However, conducting stress tests also enables the regulator to more effectively intervene banks, coordinating them preemptively into taking lower risks. We find that, if the regulator has a strong incentive to bail out, stress tests improve welfare, whereas if the regulator's incentive to bail out is weak, stress tests impair welfare.     

我国知识产权壁垒研究现状及成因、对策简析——基于文献计量学的视角

随着针对知识产权壁垒研究的开展,学者们当前的研究热点及现状成为需要关注的方向。本研究基于文献计量学的视角,对2005.01-2015.03间CSSCI期刊中收录的以知识产权壁垒为研究主题的研究论文进行统计与关键词归类,并利用Ucinet软件,对知识产权壁垒的研究现状展开分析。研究结果显示,关于知识产权壁垒的研究尚处于起步阶段,研究热点主要集中于知识产权壁垒的定义与表现形式、337调查及应对策略等,而对于知识产权壁垒的成因分析却涉及较少。因此,本文继续以337调查事件为基础,结合我国现实,对知识产权壁垒形成的原因进行归纳,最终为打破知识产权壁垒提供了相应的对策建议。

农村产权抵押融资的风险防控机制研究——基于重庆的实践

论文首先理清了农村产权抵押融资各环节上的主要风险。接着,通过对重庆市11个区县的实地调研,找出了各种风险的主要成因,以及防控这些风险的成功经验。最后,针对农村产权融资的不同需求,建立了以农村资金互助社为核心的小额融资风险防控机制,和以政府为基础层,金融机构和农户为核心层,担保机构、保险机构和评估机构为保障层的大额融资风险防控机制。为我国农村产权抵押融资风险防控提供参考。     

Can the Islamic bank be an emerging leader? A panel data causality analysis

This short note investigates the ability of Islamic banks (IBs) to play a leading role in revamping and driving conventional banking. To this end, we used a panel of 10 major conventional banks (CBs) and 10 IBs over the period 2006–2013. We applied panel regression tests and carried out a panel causality analysis. Our findings identified no significant causality effect from IBs to CBs and indicated that IBs are not able to play a role of leader.     

Curriculum assessment through a capstone course: a case study in hospitality and tourism programs

The purpose of this study was to develop a systematic process that other educational institutions and programs could follow to establish a consistent and accurate evaluation method for a capstone course. Hospitality industry professionals and hospitality management faculty were interviewed through focus-group discussions, and a post-focus-group survey was conducted to determine a weighted percentage for each of the nine determined content domains. A test blueprint for a hospitality management capstone course was developed to measure programmatic student learning outcomes based on the weighted domains determined through this study. The results provide a usable instrument for hospitality and tourism management programs to enhance their current assessment methodology.     

高校忽视音乐教育的原因探析

教育主管部门一直倡导普通高校重视音乐教育，但是多年来，无论是受社会不良信息、不良人群、负面媒体的影响，还是受家庭的过分宠溺、缺少思想沟通、异常氛围的影响，或是学校的应试教育、忽视音乐教育德育作用、缺乏专业指导的影响，以及学生自身缺乏持之以恒的态度、身心发展不平衡、自我认知失调等因素的影响，普通高校对音乐教育的重视程度远远落后于社会发展的步伐。
