湘渝黔边区是指以传统的“武陵山区”为核心区域的3省邻近地区,大致包括湖南境内的张家界市、湘西州、怀化市,重庆的黔江区,贵州的铜仁地区和黔东南州等6个地州市,是苗族、土家族、侗族等少数民族集中聚居区,也是全国典型的老、少、边、穷山区,归属于国家“西部地区”。区域文化上的趋同性、区域旅游资源上的互补性、区域脱贫任务的紧迫性和区域旅游开发的无序性,使湘渝黔边区民族文化旅游区的建立显得十分必要。同时,具备一定基础的旅游开发现状、逐步形成的区域旅游交通网络、各地政府关于旅游业发展认识上的渐趋统一以及区域旅游中心的初步形成,使湘渝黔边区民族文化旅游区的发展成为可能。湘渝黔边区民族文化旅游区的形成,必须着手进行以下工作:迅速编制总体规划,完善旅游交通网络,建立旅游环线,推出区际旅游联合体和共同市场,多渠道吸纳资金,建立特色文化保护区等。 相似文献

ABSTRACTThis qualitatively-based empirical research explored the strategies used by two museums to manage their roles in co-production as well as how they manage, motivate and guide visitors through the process of co-production. We also gained insights into how visitors responded to these strategies. Our findings suggest that the two museums employ different strategies to co-produce the consumption experience and that their strategies were linked to the nature of authenticity that is apparent in the museums. Strategies included explicitly controlling the visitor experience through empowering visitors to design their own visitor experience. The success of these strategies relied on the two museums recognising the situational variables of the context of consumption and adopting appropriate strategies that enabled them and the visitors to leverage the value of the visitor experience. The findings from this study suggest that further research should be undertaken on how authenticity might be integrated into a service-dominant logic paradigm and service strategies aimed at enhancing the co-creation of value. 相似文献

This study attempts to integrate the Kano model and importance-performance analysis to explore critical interpretation service elements. This study compares the experiences of Mainland China and Taiwan visitors at a museum and their perceptions of interpretation service quality. Tourism academia has attempted to individually explore the concepts of visiting experience, place identity, narratives, and history museums, but it has rarely delved into the deep and sometimes murky waters of the intimate connection among these notions. Focusing on the Museum of History in present-day identity torn Hong Kong, the current study sheds light on the identitarian and ideological implications visiting this museum has for Hong Kong born-and-raised Millennials. The findings challenge the current understanding of place identity at heritage sites of contested identity by revealing the subtle, sensitive, and fluid connections between individual and official narratives, and also among the investigated concepts. This article utilizes the case of the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum as an illustration for setting a themed environment at a highly unconventional tourist site whose main goal is to serve as an educational memorial for the Nazi genocide of the Jewish people. Despite the seeming incongruity between the concept and application of theming, as formulated by Walt Disney, and commemoration of the Jewish Holocaust victims, the analysis demonstrates the usefulness of theming in serving the institution's objectives while orchestrating memorable visitor experiences. Notwithstanding the criticism and concerns related to such theming, we suggest that the example of Yad Vashem illustrates how well-conducted theming holds great potential for museums in general and dark tourism sites in particular by reaching broad audiences and emotionally engaged visitors. Membership fees are an important source of sustained revenue for not-for-profit organizations. Moreover, these membership programs facilitate loyalty to the organization and provide certainty to a percentage of revenue intake. In this study, we examine how frequency of visits, satisfaction with membership programs, length of membership, age, average household income, and driving time affect membership retention in a children’s museum. Findings indicate that all of the factors above influence membership renewal intention. We summarize this study with recommendations for both member recruitment and retention for not-for-profit organizations that utilize membership programs. 相似文献
