Choose your words carefully: Harnessing the language of crowdfunding for success

When it comes to raising money via crowdfunding, the language used in campaign narratives matters. Little practical guidance has been offered to those wishing to use crowdfunding concerning how to tailor the language in a crowdfunding campaign to enhance funding prospects. We take insights generated in academic research and distill those down to practical guidance for crowdfunding users. Here, we focus on two important aspects of language. First, we highlight how language that provides insight into the entrepreneurs’ personality—words expressing positivity, charisma, resilience, or narcissism—relates to funding. Second, we outline how various linguistic styles used to describe the general topics of the campaign relate to funding. Our work is particularly applicable to one of the most popular forms of crowdfunding: rewards-based crowdfunding.

拍卖价格的形成是一种复杂的社会行为的综合体现,文章通过揭示拍卖中存在的这些普遍现象,来解读拍卖符号与其实质之间的张力：复制品拍卖中的象征身份与原作原真性的缠结;外行以信任为媒介依赖专家鉴定系统时在交汇地带出现的碰撞;运用视觉功能说明现场拍卖价格的形成、透视拍品历史价值与劳动价值的合理偏离。这三种矛盾体现了拍卖价格形成的短暂性并预示了滚动性的鲜明特征,成为影响拍卖系统正常运转的普遍性力量。     

Vision,Value, and Pluralism: A Comment on Analytical Political Economy

The choice of value theory reflects one’s vision of how markets function within a capitalist market economy. This choice is crucial for understanding how pluralism will play a part in prompting a paradigm shift within the discipline of economics. What is lacking in recent discussions of pluralism is how the various theories of value and distribution relate to each other. Uniting heterodox economists in this way will support the development of criteria for teaching and research, both of which facilitate a paradigm shift. A consensus would avoid the methodological issues associated with analytical political economy which advocates mathematical modeling and applications for unifying the schools of thought.

This article suggests a way to relate the theories of value and distribution, as reflective of the differences in vision of how markets function within a capitalist market economy and discusses a few of the challenges for creating a consensus.

西江经济带建设既为贵港经济发展带来了良机,又对其提出了新的要求。贵港应依托港口、交通、产业和旅游资源等优势及西江经济带建设的要求明确其经济发展定位。文章认为,贵港经济的振兴既要发挥自身优势特别是港口优势,更要打破区域发展限制,整合资源,参与更为深层次的经济合作,同时实施教育优先、以港立市、工业主导、开放带动和循环发展等多重战略。

The impact and spin-off of participatory backcasting: From vision to niche

This paper reports on a study that has systematically investigated the follow-up and spin-off of participatory backcasting experiments in the Netherlands five to ten years after completion. A methodological framework for participatory backcasting is presented, after which a conceptual framework is developed to describe and evaluate the impact of backcasting experiments. Three cases are analysed: (1) Novel Protein Foods and meat alternatives; (2) Sustainable Household Nutrition; and (3) Multiple Sustainable Land-use in rural areas. The cases show that participatory backcasting can lead to substantial follow-up and spin-off, but that is not always the case. Substantial follow-up and spin-off after five to ten years is predominantly found at the level of niches, and can be seen as potential seeds for future system innovations. The emergence of follow-up and spin-off comes along with the diffusion of the visions generated in the backcasting experiment. The visions provide orientation (where to go) and guidance (what to do). Visions also show both stability and flexibility. Factors that influence the extent of impact and spin-off of backcasting are identified, with a focus on stakeholders, learning and visions. Finally, relevance for system innovation theory, governance and policy as well as research recommendations are briefly discussed.

首先界定了"旅游目的地映象","旅游目的地幻象","旅游目的地印象"等概念的内涵。通过问卷调查的方式得出游客对庐山旅游幻象和印象构成因子的感知差值和旅游映象分值,进而对问卷调查结果进行分析和阐述。最后从旅游者的视角,结合旅游目的地映象的分析结果探寻庐山旅游发展中的一些问题及其存在的原因,并根据旅游者的反馈意见提出一些新的认识和思考。
