国际货币体系的现状与发展

2008年席卷全球的金融危机使得改革现有国际货币体系的呼声日益高涨。现有的国际货币体系是以美元为世界储备货币基础的体系。本文从国际货币体系的演变以及现行国际货币体系的现状出发,来阐明现行国际货币体系的弊端以及国际货币体系发展的方向,并明确国际货币体系的改革是一个漫长的、渐进的过程。

Enhanced Special Drawing Rights: How China Could Contribute to a Reformed International Monetary Architecture

Since the end of the Bretton Woods era, the world has operated on a de facto system of free‐floating exchange rates, with the US dollar as the dominant international currency. The system, characterized by large pro‐cyclical capital flows and chronic imbalances, is inherently unstable, and has contributed to repeated crises, recessions and geopolitical tensions. One potentially “least‐difficult” line of reform would be to allow the evolution of a multi‐currency system, underpinned by an expanded role for Special Drawing Rights (SDRs). Attempts to promote wider use of the SDR have foundered on the liquidity premium. However, for Chinese corporations and institutions, at present restricted in their capital account activities, the SDR liquidity premium would appear less daunting. The Chinese authorities could provide policy encouragement for the use of SDRs by their institutions. This initiative, supported by China's Special Administrative Region Hong Kong, would kick‐start an international SDR ecosystem, and encourage even broader use of SDRs, to the benefit of international monetary stability.     

“定量宽松”政策的实质及对中国的影响

在当前的国际经济与金融危机环境下,美国等西方国家通过扩大货币的发行量大规模增加时资本市场货币的供应,货币政策的重心向"定量宽松"政策倾斜.关于"定量宽松"货币政策的实质以及对中国的影响,我国经济学界已经展开了广泛的热议.本文认为,对这一问题应据据中国人民银行行长周小川提出的构建"超主权国际储备货币"的建议进行更深入探讨,本文在现有研究基础上,对此进行了进一步分析.     

Stratography: The art of conceptualizing and communicating strategy

Representations of strategy tend to either be so generalized as to have little real meaning for employees, or go into such detail that people struggle to understand what is really required. The problem is this: a strategy not understood by those charged with implementing it is as bad as, or even worse than, not having a strategy at all. In 1983, a classic Business Horizons article by Karl Weick highlighted the importance of using graphical approaches to overcome strategy relation challenges; however, since then, little has been written regarding how managers might accomplish this successfully. Our article argues that individualized drawings of strategy, or what we term ‘stratography,’ could enable more effective conceptualization and communication of the strategic complexity that organizations face and the paths they are seeking to follow. Herein, we employ the latest thinking in cartography, educational philosophy, optics, graphic design, and military protocol to outline seven good practices of effective stratography.
