管理者背景与企业绩效:基于中国经验的实证研究

摘    要:基于世界银行对中国1109家样本企业的调查数据,考察中国非上市企业管理者背景与企业绩效的相关性。研究表明,样本企业管理者的高学历背景和企业绩效有显著正相关性,并主要表现在管理者的长期任职阶段。管理者的海外教育背景、任职背景和选聘背景在总体上与企业绩效没有显著关系;但管理者在同一企业的短期和长期任职阶段,其政府选聘背景和海外教育背景分别与企业绩效有显著负相关性。

Abstract:This paper empirically analyzes the correlation between the background of manager and firm performance based on the WB`s survey data which includes 1109 non-listed-company samples in China. We find that education background of manager does have positive effect on firm performance, especially in the long-term stage of manager tenure. Meanwhile our result indicates that as a whole overseas education, ex-position and appointment background of manager are not significantly related to firm performance. However, ...
