“农民工”问题与政府绩效考核

农民工为城市做出了许多贡献，但他们却没有享受到与贡献对等的权利。党和政府一向高度重视农民工问题，近年来制定了一系列保障农民工权益和改善农民工就业环境的政策措施，但侵犯农民工的合法权益的事件仍时有发生，让农民工和城市人一样平等享有合法权益还任重道远。为激励政府把做好农民工工作摆在经济社会发展全局的突出位置，有必要把解决农民工问题纳入政府绩效考核体系。

Reflections on the Problems of Rural Migrant Workers and the Governments Performance Assessment

No one denies the important contributions that rural migrant workers have made to urban developments; however, we must admit that they did not enjoy equivalent rights to their contributions. Our party and government have always showed great concern to the issues of rural migrant workers. In recent years, a series of policy measures have been taken to protect migrant workers＇rights and improve their employment environment in cities. Despite these policies, infringements of migrant workers＇lawful rights and interests still happen from time to tome, and there is a long way to go to achieve equal rights and legitimate interests between migrant workers and urban citizens. In order to urge the government to realize that solving problems of migrant workers has an overall bearing on our economic and social developments, the author proposes that the indicator of officials＇ability to handle problems of rural migrant workers should be integrated into the government performance appraisal system.
