The Measures of the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China for Implementing the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Customs Protection of Intellectual Property Rights discussed and passed at the executive meeting of the General Administration of Customs (GAC) on Feb.17,2009 is hereby promulgated,which take effects on July 1,2009.The Measures of the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China for Implementing the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Customs Protection of Intellectual Property Rights promulgated by No.114 Decree of the GAC on May 25,2004 shall be repealed simultaneously.

Interim Measures for the Tax Preservation and Enforcement Measures of the Customs of the People's Republic of China

The Interim Measures for the Tax Preservation and Enforcement Measures of the Customs of the People's Republic of China,which was deliberated and adopted at the executive meeting of the General Administration of Customs on August 13,2009,entered into effect as of September 1,2009.     

Decision of the General Administration of Customs concerning Amending the Measures of the Customs of the People's Republic of China for the Supervision of Processing Trade Goods

On September 11, General Administration of Customs of the People＇s Republic of China released the profile of China foreign trade import and export in August and the first eight months of this year.

On December II, General Administration of Customs of the People＇s Republic of China released the profile of China fore gn trade import and export in November and the first eleven months of this year.

On May 10,2010,General Administration of Customs of the People＇s Republic of China（GAC）released the profile of China foreign trade import and export in April and the first four months of this year.     

Im/Ex in February, 2010：Foreign Trade Continue Recovery Trend

On March 10, 2009, General Administration of Customs of the People＇s Republic of China released the profile of China foreign trade import and export in February 2010, still huge pickup as shown in the year-on- year statistics. The statistics from customs show that, the total import and export value from January to February in 2010 is US$386.4 billion, increasing 44.8% from 2008. Among the total value, the monthly export reaches US$204.08 billion, 31.4% increase year-on-year, while the yearly import US$182.32 billion,     

Im/Ex in June, 2010： Exports Hit Record High

On July 10, 2010, General Administration of Customs of the People＇s Republic of China （GAC） released the profile of China foreign trade import and export in June and the first six months of this year. China＇s trade surplus fell by 42.5 percent in the first six months this year from a year earlier to US$55.3 billion. In the first half of 2010, exports rose 35.2 percent to US$705.09 billion while imports were up 52.7 percent to US$649.79 billion,     

Im/Ex Difficulty Lasts in the First 5 Months

On June l 1, General Administration of Customs of the People＇s Reptlblic of China announced the profile of China foreign trade import and export in the first 5 months of this year. According to the customs＇ statistics, the total import anti export value for the first five months amounted to US$763.49 billion, 24.7% decreasing compared with the same period last year. Among the total value, the export value amounted to US$426.14 billion, down 21.8% year-on-year, while the import US$337.35 billion, 28% decreased year-on-year. And the trade surplus from January to May achieved US$88.79 billion, 15.7% growth year-on-year, a net growth of US$12.05 billion.     

Measures for the Administration of Prohibited and Restricted Import of Technologies

In accordance with the Foreign Trade Law of the People＇s Republic of China and the Regulations o）c the People＇s Republic of China on the Administration of Import and Export of Technologies, the revised Measures for the Admin-istration of Prohibited and Restricted Import of Technologies is hereby promulgated, which shall take effect 30 days there- after. The Measures for the Administration of Prohibited ana Restricted Import of Technologies （the former Degree No. 18 [2001] of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation and the State Economic and Trade Commission） is abolished at the same time.

On January 10, 2009, General Administration of Customs of the People＇s Republic of China released the profile of China foreign trade import and export in December 2009 and the whole twelve months of thisyear. The statistics from customs show that,     

Im/Ex Rebound Continues in July

On August 11, General Administration of Customs of the People＇s Republic of China released the profile of China foreign trade import and export in July and the first seven months of this year. Foreign trade conducted by China suffered continuous decrease since last October; however, from this March, rebound results have been achieved for consecutive 5 months. The month-on-month figure has been growing steadily, though in slow pace.     

Im/Ex in May,2010：Exports Continued Recovery in May

On June 10, 2010, General Administration of Customs of the People＇s China （GAC） Republic of released the profile of China foreign trade import and export in May and the first five months of this year. China returned to a trade surplus in April on strong exports growth after posting its first monthly deficit in almost six years in March, and Chinas exports surged by 48.5 percent year on year in May, while the imports climbed 48.3 percent, the General Administration of Customs （GAC） announced.     

Im/Ex in April, 2010： First Monthly Trade Deficit in Six Years

On April 10, 2010, General Administration of Customs of the People＇s Republic of China （GAC） released the profile of China foreign trade import and export in April and the first quarter of this year. China＇s trade balance turned red in March with the country＇s first monthly trade deficit in six years. The GAC attributed the March deficit to shrinking exports of labor-intensive products, surging imports and rising commodity prices.

China＇s total import and export value droppped into bottom in January 2009. It started to pick up last November and showed strong pickup in December; as manifested in rapid growth in year-on-year and month-on-month data. All these cause the sharp year-on-year increase in January, 2010.
