Using paradata to collect better survey data: Evidence from a household survey in Tanzania

Data are a key component in the design, implementation, and evaluation of economic and social policies. Monitoring data quality is an essential part of any serious, large‐scale data collection process. The purpose of this article is to show how paradata should be used before, during, and after data collection to monitor and improve data quality. To do this we use timestamps, global positioning system (GPS) coordinates, and other paradata collected from an 800‐household survey conducted in Tanzania in 2016. We demonstrate how key paradata can be used during each phase of a research project to identify and prevent issues in the data and the methods used to collect it. Our results corroborate the importance of collecting and analyzing paradata to monitor fieldwork and ensuring data quality for micro data collection in developing countries. Based on these findings we also make recommendations as to how researchers can make better use of paradata in the future to manage and improve data quality. We argue for an expansion in the understanding and use of varied paradata among researchers, and a greater focus on its use for improving data quality.     

基于DSP的高动态接收机载波捕获跟踪技术

介绍了高动态GPS接收机的码捕获与载波跟踪的原理,设计了一种基于高速数字信号处理(DSP)技术的PLL FLL环混合全数字高动态载波跟踪技术方案,同时给出了一种在连续高动态下载波跟踪算法即基于交叠离散傅里叶变换的频率跟踪算法(ODAFC),并对此算法进行了仿真验证.仿真结果证明了该算法的正确性.     

油田特种作业车辆燃油管理系统的研究

为解决油田特种作业车辆和台上设备在生产运行中个别操作者盗卖燃油的问题,我们利用高精度燃油测量装置,对特种作业车辆台上设备的燃油消耗进行准确计量,并通过车载GPS终端通讯信道实时上传到监控管理系统进行展现和统计分析,解决了特种车辆燃油消耗考核不能落实到单车的难题,经济效益和社会效益明显,有很好的推广应用前景。     

数字中频GPS信号软件模拟器设计

在对中频GPS信号理论建模与分析的基础上,采用Matlab/Simulink构建了一种精确的数字中频GPS信号软件模拟器,考虑了噪声、欠采样以及接收机时钟误差等的影响.软件模拟器的实现采用Matlab代码编程与Simulink模型混合的方式,方便了不同算法的实现.与传统的GPS信号模拟器相比,文中设计的软件模拟器具备设计灵活、可扩展、易于使用等诸多优点.

GPS、GIS在车辆管理中的应用

近年来,随着我国交通事业的发展,车辆的数量在不断地增加。车辆的增加在增加路面交通压力的同时也给车辆的管理带来了困难。传统的车辆管理方式已不适用于当今社会,必须借助于全新的科学技术来为车辆管理提供新的手段。GPS、GIS的综合运用很好地解决了这一问题:GPS为车辆进行精确的定位,而GIS则为车辆的各种信息进行搜集整理。二者的结合,有效地解决了车辆管理中遇到的数量大、流动性强的难题,极大地提高了车辆管理的效率与安全,具有很高的工程应用价值。

The promise of creative/participatory mapping practices for sport and leisure research

This paper provides an introduction to the concept of creative participatory mapping of human–environment relations. It is identified that within human geography, artistic practice and urban design, biomapping and similar community mapping tools and methodologies are increasingly being embraced. However, within sports and leisure research the concept has yet to gain academic attention. Consequently, this paper provides a basis for thinking about how researchers and research participants in the fields of sport and leisure research might benefit if mapping human–environment relations was to be embraced and integrated into research design practices. Referencing recent turns to studying space and affect within sport and leisure studies, mapping is argued to offer innovative methodological opportunities for studying how people relate to and understand the urban environments in which they practice physical activity and leisure forms of embodiment. The paper concludes by arguing that, along with offering up new avenues for conceptual research, mapping human–environment relations, if readily embraced, can go a long way to fostering community engagement in: the identification of (un)safe urban routes for sport/leisure practice (e.g. running, cycling), the development and site identification of health/physical activity initiatives and the design of urban landscapes of sport/leisure.
