As talent management evolves from intuitive to evidence‐based decision‐making, the role of electronic Human Resource Management (eHRM) to gather, distribute, and analyze data becomes more critical. However, surprisingly few academic studies investigate the role of technology in talent management. Drawing on a qualitative case study of talent management in a large professional services firm, this paper critically examines how eHRM information technologies are framed as useful within talent identification discourses. The findings reveal two distinct but interrelated sets of processes employed to identify talent and suggest that the perceived usefulness and centrality of eHRM are influenced by how stakeholders shape their understanding of effective talent management. In this article the authors empirically investigate information content of dividends announcements and average reaction of emerging markets of India and Russia to dividend surprises on the postcrisis period 2010 to 2014. The study applies an analysts’ expectations-based approach rarely used in academic literature. The authors conclude that the Russian market on average reacts negatively to good and bad dividend surprises; good dividend surprises on average trigger positive abnormal returns on Indian stocks, whereas bad and no surprises are associated with negative reactions of the Indian market. Results of the study are discussed from the perspective of dividend signaling theory, market efficiency, and investor behavior. 相似文献

This research aims to validate a structural equation modeling (SEM) model for measuring warehouse performance using data from an international company in Australia (company G). Moreover, a methodological triangulation method was also adopted to test whether different methodological approaches produce convergent findings about warehouse performance measurement (WPM). These three different methods are the SEM model, the multiple case research study, and validation of the SEM model using data from 80 companies in Thailand and a company in Australia. With the results from the triangulation method, it is obvious that the SEM model can be used to measure the performance of warehouses in Thailand and Australia. Since the SEM model consists only of significant indicators, it is more appropriate than company G's scorecard. Furthermore, the SEM model can overcome the limitations of traditional models by allowing companies to compare their performance over time. 相似文献

以黑龙江省23家A股上市公司共138个子公司为样本,选取2006-2011年的数据对应急盈余管理和真实盈余管理所进行的分析结果表明,黑龙江省上市公司普遍存在,各公司真实盈余管理水平相差较大;有一半以上的公司倾向于采取应计盈余管理进行正向操控,而采用真实营盈余管理进行负向操控;应计盈余管理和真实盈余管理的变化总体呈相反趋势;各行业、地区的盈余管理相差较大。在今后的研究中,应加强对公司盈余管理的遏制,从而促进黑龙江省经济的健康发展。 相似文献

Abstract This empirical study of European, Japanese and U.S. multinational companies provides a cross-sectional investigation on the degree of standardization practiced in advertising strategy and message elements, objectives and types of content of standardized advertising and ways of using adapted strategy. Based on the sampled data, no statistical difference was found for any of the analyses at the 0.05 significance level. However, it can be concluded from the data that global marketers are moving toward standardization in their advertising. The contributions of this research can be significant for both academicians and practitioners. Managerial implications and future research directions were also provided. 相似文献

在构式语法理论框架下,介绍了英汉双宾构式研究的现状,探讨了英汉双宾构式在句式语义、原型特征以及构式义和动词语义的匹配模式,说明英汉双宾构式在以上三个方面存在着共性;在双宾构式的范围、概念模式以及能够进入双宾构式的动词三个方面存在着差异,从而说明:句法结构反映了人的概念结构和对世界的认知方式,包含相同概念内容的句式也会因为对事件的认知方式不同而导致意义上的差别。英汉双宾构式的共性反映了不同民族对世界的认知方式相同,英汉双宾构式的差异体现了英汉民族语言表达方式的不同。 相似文献
