Asset Revaluations in the Accounts of UK National Health Service Trusts

This paper reports the results of an investigation into the impact of the revaluation of fixed assets on the reported results of NHS ambulance services. It recalculates the accounting rate of return of individual trusts after removing revaluation adjustments and examines the published responses of trusts. The numerical analysis demonstrates that, in general, revaluation has depressed the stated rate of return in an inconsistent manner. Failure to meet the required rate of return may cause a trust to be subjected to additional monitoring and management reorganisation while the trusts respond by explaining deviations in the accounting return measure by referring to revaluations and other technical adjustments. Management decisions made in response to these accounting measures may be sub-optimal in delivering health care but appropriate in achieving the desired accounting outcome.     

信托之困境抑或信托业之困境——论我国《信托法》下的资产管理市场

我国《信托法》只能规范以信托投资公司、基金公司为主体的信托关系,却无法涉及其他金融机构参与的信托关系,是目前资产管理市场上的不正常现象,并带来了市场竞争规则不一状况和要求修订规则的呼声。本文基于信托法理分析了多家金融机构提供的金融产品,认为均符合信托法律关系特征并应受到我国《信托法》的规范。《信托法》宜尽快从法律关系的性质着手而不是仅仅从主体着手来进行完善,以便使各个金融机构在混业趋势下找准自己的发展方向,监管机构亦能抓住风险源头,在保证市场公平的前提下实现《信托法》对资产管理市场开放和发展的促进作用。

作为建立和维护基层社会信用体系的主要承担者的县级政府,其自身的信用是建立社会信用体系的关键.如何适用诚实信用原则是作为我国法律与政策的基层执行机关--县级政府自身的信用建设的重要方式也是构建和谐社会,创新行政管理方式的重要内容.     

The link between corporate social responsibility and customer loyalty: Empirical evidence from the Islamic banking industry

Increased support from customers for Islamic financial services is very important to create resilience and competitiveness in the Islamic banking industry. By highlighting certain social activities, this paper estimates the role of Islamic banks’ CSR in influencing customer loyalty, both individually and through the integrated roles of image, trust, satisfaction, and reputation. These paths explore how CSR makes customers impressed, convinced, satisfied, amazed, and ultimately loyal to Islamic banks. The empirical analysis of partial least square structural equation modeling (n = 283) has shown that CSR directly and positively impacts loyalty. Indirectly, these two aspects have an insignificant relationship through the serial roles of image-reputation and satisfaction-reputation, but significant through the single role of reputation and the serial role of trust-reputation. This study has resulted in an updated prediction model of Islamic banking customer loyalty. The practical implication lies in the importance of developing CSR to generate trust and reputation which ultimately increase customer loyalty toward Islamic banks.     

信任的测度

信任在人类社会关系中扮演着重要的角色,被认为是合作秩序的基石、社会维系正常运行的润滑剂。本文讨论了两种信任测度方法的区别及其一致性问题,讨论了信任行为背后的个体偏好——主要包括涉他偏好和背叛规避偏好的分解与测度问题,最后介绍了浙江大学跨学科社会科学研究中心（ICSS）针对中国被试所做的信任测度实验及结论。     

Franchisees' trust in and satisfaction with franchise partnerships

This paper aims to establish the relationship between the antecedents of trust, trust itself, and franchisee satisfaction. Taking its cue from power-dependence, international business, and social exchange theories, the paper contributes to the franchise literature by offering a more comprehensive theoretical perspective to aid understanding of trust development in and satisfaction with franchise partnerships. Drawing on a multi-sector survey of Turkish franchisees, the study provides empirical evidence of the impact of the franchisors' role performance and cultural sensitivity on franchisees' trust in and satisfaction with franchise partnerships. Furthermore, this research demonstrates the central role of communication in the development of franchisees' trust.     

Trust and controllability in venture capital fundraising

This study discusses a model of success in venture capital (VC) fundraising. We develop this model based on agency and trust theory. The model is tested against quantitative data collected from 151 limited partners (LP) with headquarters predominantly in North America and Europe. Beyond the well-known criterion of the VC firm's track record, results suggest that trust and perceived controllability shape the investment decisions of those LPs. Moreover, antecedents of these main factors are evaluated. In sum, this study shows how fundraising VC firms can systematically manage the fundraising process.     

农村土地承包经营权融资方式创新——基于镇江市土地流转信托实践

十八届三中全会提出要加快构建新型农业经营体系,赋予农民更多财产权利.在此背景下农村土地流转信托迅速受到各方关注.相比于农村土地承包经营权抵押贷款等融资方式,土地流转信托在坚持农村土地所有权和承包权不变的前提下,发挥了农村土地承包经营权的融资功能,找到了一种既让农民流出土地后获得稳定收益,又帮助各类主体流入土地后获得足够金融支持实现土地高效利用的模式.农民、农业经营者以及信托公司三方以土地流转信托项目为平台,产融结合,实现了农地集约化、专业化、规模化的经营,推动了农地增值、农业增效、农民增收.     

信托业务关联交易信息披露分析

2005年信托公司年报披露,代表信息披露向规范化发展的有力举措。然而在年报当中理解财务报表所必需的要素披露尚不够充分,尤其是难以判断数额巨大的关联交易对信托公司、信托项目财务状况造成的影响程度,以及是否属于不当关联交易。其中信托业务关联交易的定价政策、关联交易对信托业务与信托公司盈利能力的影响、信托财产安全状况以及是否存在违规挪用信托财产的问题无疑构成当前迫切需要研究的问题。本文对此进行了探讨。     

A note on the theory and measurement of trust in explaining differences in economic growth

This paper takes issue with the trend to attribute differencesin economic growth rates to differences in interpersonal trust.I discuss the World Values Survey (WVS) measure that is usedto operationalise trust at the macro level. I hypothesise thatthere is a mismatch between the theoretical argument and theempirical operationalisation of trust. Instead of measuringtrust, the WVS measure may instead proxy the well-functioningof institutions. I provide circumstantial evidence for thisthesis by a principal components analysis of trust and institutionsand a robustness test of Zak and Knack's (2001. Trust and growth,Economic Journal, vol. 111, 295–321) seminal study ontrust and economic growth.
